Below a selection of dermatology photos showing Candida Albicans as it appears in different guises in and outside the body. Sometimes it manifests outwardly in only one location, sometimes it covers most of the body. In other cases the symptoms are mainly internal, upsetting digestion, and causing symptoms such as fatigue, irritability, food or alcohol cravings, PMT and many more. Candidiasis budding yeast forms (arrows). In these dermatology photos Candida Albicans can be seen as small white roundish cells scattered throughout the photo. I have found the best test for diagnosing Candida to be kinesiology or muscle testing.

Chronic Candida as fungal nail presents with discolouration of the fingernails and abnormal nail growth. The yeast infection stems from the nail bed and systemic treatment is required.

A fingernail with Candida or yeast infection becomes red, swollen, and tender with an occasional discharge. The malformation of the nail is severe. Nails can fall away completely leaving an empty nail bed.

A moist patch of the skin surrounding the anus. Babies who have had early treatment of antibiotics may present with this discolouration between their buttocks. It appears more as a discolouration than a skin rash.

Condition caused by Candida developed within hours of birth on the hand of an otherwise healthy newborn. Candida can be passed from mother to child if the mother has systemic Candida when her child is born. This child will require systemic Candida treatment, along with its mother.

Dry, red scaly patches of Candida / thrush on the penis. This photo shows severe Candida. In less severe cases men may present with small isolated red patches on their penis, and the skin will be sore to touch and will make intercourse painful.

White plaques representing thrush or yeast infection are present inside the cheek and under the tongue. When wiped off, the plaques leave red erosive areas. A white coating on the tongue is one of the earlier and most obvious signs of Candida. When left to progress the skin begins to erode.

Candida / Thrush Around the Navel. Candida infection presents with many different kinds of skin rashes, often mis-diagnosed as eczema and inappropriately treated. The skin rashes may be areas of small eruptions as in the photo, or red circular eruptions on any location of the body, ranging from small to large. The rash may be confined to one or two areas, or appear on the whole body. Usually the skin is itchy and flares up after consuming Candida-feeding foods and drinks such as beers or lagers, wines, carbonated drinks with high sugar content (Coke), sugar-rich foods, yeasty foods and wheat.

Soreness and cracks at the sides of the mouth is a frequent expression of Oral Candida or thrush infection in the elderly. These can make eating and drinking a painful experience and cause the person much discomfort and distress.
